Big pile of Windows
Somehow I keep leaving so many windows open while working that it becomes a task just to navigate and find the one I'm looking for. Does anyone else hit this? Are there any tricks or tools that can help?

Exposé on the Mac handles this splendidly; there are a number of Windows knock-offs of this, one of which used to bcalled Winsposé I believe (catchy eh?)
You could try the "Virtual Desktop" Powertoy ( http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx ). That'll give you 4 desktops to spread your windows across.
I played around with it for a while and it seemed useful, but I eventually lost interest...
The Alt-Tab Replacement utility (from Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP) allows you to preview the program you're alt-tabbing to. It also lets you mouse click on the program you want to switch to, rather than needing to tab all the way there. Simple, but useful.

Let's attack this problem at the source -- how about some of that sweet, hot multiple monitor action?
In a world where quality 19" LCDs are three hundred bucks, no developer worth his or her salt should ever, EVER be stuck on a single monitor.
