Amazon overpacking madness

Tabblo: Amazon Overpack

I ordered 4 Lego Duplo base plates from Amazon for my daughter. I placed a single order for them all.

These base plates are 15' square, about a quarter inch thick, and weigh no more than a few ounces.

Just give the boxes to your daughter! When I was a kid, I loved playing inside of huge carboard boxes. Depending how old she is, she might just get a few hours use out of them and helpfully break them down for recycling in the process. :-)

For your daughter, uh huh I believe you. Looks like a future Lego robot world cup stadium.

With my kids (1 and 3 yrs old), 'tis a rare gift indeed that's more fun than the box it came in.

That why trips to Ikea are such a blast.

Yeah, I ordered a pack of styli for my Palm T3 from Amazon. It arrived in a box about twice the volume of a large shoe box. The styli were in one of those imposible to open retail display plastic packages. It would have fit in an envelope. Considering teh effort needed to get into the package I doubt that it wuold have come to any harm. You might need a stout envelope to stop the plastic shredding it, but that's all. A complete waste.
