I got a Sonos!
The fine folks at Sonos sent me a loaner Bundle 130. The bundle includes a Sonos remote, a ZP80 player (both pictured), a ZP100 player, a remote cradle and some wires to hook it all up.
I'm not one for fancy gadgets (ask Jeff Atwood, we had dinner recently and he found my outdated mobile phone most humorous) but I've had the Sonos two days and I already want more players. Remote control access to 3 million songs is like the holy grail of music.
I'm going to give it a much more in-depth review soon.

Have fun. And then build some nice add-ons. :-)

Cool stuff. I'm not entirely sure it's the same outfit, but I think I had a chance to hook up with those guys (Sonos) a few years back when they were known as Rincon Networks.
The commute to Cambridge was a negative for me. Plus I had an opportunity to hookup with my good buddy Damien Katz at a place called Kubi Software.
So much for my career decision-making skills.
Lookin' forward to the in-depth review

I have had a demo of the Sonos stuff, its really cool, especially the multiroom support, just wander around with the remote (which is a beautiful piece of kit).
In the end I went for a cheaper solution, using an NSLU2 slug running Twonky Media server, and Philips audio and video multimedia recievers..
I am now in wireless media nirvana, and spend most of my spare time converting my DVD's to Divx files so I can stream them around the flat !
