More CouchDb
Jan writes about the upcoming changes to CouchDb.
I'm really excited about these new changes and very happy to be rid of XML, which eliminates a large source of friction. With JSON and Javascript it's amazing how simple things are getting. For some more code examples, check out the new javascript based tests.

This is great news, especially for those of us developing web applications. A local CouchDB instance, replicating only a relevant subset of the full database, would be great for offline applications.
