IBMers who want to try CouchDB
Thanks to Dima Rekesh, we have a new TAP server internally for playing with CouchDB. This is for iBMers who want to check out CouchDB without installing anything.
http://dpev105.innovate.ibm.com:5984/_utils/index.html
It's a plain vanilla CouchDB server, but at some point it might become a prototype and test bed for offering CouchDB as a service, with user accounts and security and what not.
Feel free to play with Futon and create databases and test out apps against it. Right now it's wide open, anyone can do anything, so please play nice and try not to knock down anyone else's sand castle. And of course don't put any important data on it, it can go away at any time.
CouchHack April 2009
CouchHack is small CouchDB hacker event planned for April 19th - 22nd in Asheville NC.We will be renting a house for hacking, playing video games, building sofa forts and crashing. Anyone who wants to hack on or with CouchDB is welcome to come. Beds in the house are limited, first come first serve.
Apache CouchDB 0.9.0 escapes
Get it here: http://couchdb.apache.org/downloads.html
It seems it's taken forever to get this release out, but I think it's worth the wait. There are too many improvements (new features, bug fixes, performance improvements) to list them all.
Huge congratulations and thanks to everyone who's contributed.
